Calvin Coolidge Billboard- Webster Square

One of only two billboards I've found in the city that is not owned by Clear Channel. It has displayed this Calvin Coolidge quote for months, about a month ago the right-most board fell down. It reads: "No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave."

This is in Webster Square, heading north on Main St., just before Arena Plaza.

  1. Thanks for joining us -- this is something I drive by (nearly) daily!

  2. Thanks!
It's one of the few billboards that I don't mind seeing on a regular basis.

  3. Thank you both!

I really like this billboard too. I hope it's going to be time for a makeover soon, though, because it's starting to show its age. Maybe they'll post a new quote?

It's really interesting how the ownership translates into the viability of advertising on it, rather than the location. This one is in a prime spot, but has had a non-commercial message on it forever (not that I'm complaining). Just south of it on Main, across the street from Maury's, is a Clear Channel board that is always plastered with a current ad, even though it's smaller and mostly obscured by a tree all summer.

    Really interesting...
